Ready, set, PADDLE! Register today for the 2024 Willamette Downriver Race!
We’ve changed the course this year to accommodate numerous requests for larger watercraft and more paddling time on the river. This race will begin at Island Park in Springfield and end across the finish line at the River Wood Beach (behind the River House Outdoor Center on river left, across from Valley River Center). Get ready to rumble down your favorite rapids from Springfield to Eugene in Alton Baker Park! All watercraft encouraged to participate! Youth can race with a registered parent (under 18 years old) – accompanying parent required (on land or on water – must be present at event).
This is a solid Class I-II moving water challenge, and does require some experience for dodging rocks, riding a few wild wave trains, navigating sharp bank turns, and avoiding hazards.
